Our client, a UK based Heavy Engineering Company, wanted to provide a powerful means of accelerating the development of their emerging talent, those who had joined as graduates and had high potential. This was all set in a culture where praise was rare and results everything. After a buy out by a foreign conglomerate, the balance of the competencies was adjusted to incorporate the “people” elements of desired behaviours as well as those based around “performance”.

The aim of the development centre was to put the participants through their paces, challenge them, but at the same time give them the opportunity to see things in a different light.

The programme combined assessment, peer coaching, developmental input and psychologist led feedback, giving the participants some powerful messages and the encouragement to go about their business in a more enlightened manner. This has now been repeated several times due to the programme’s reputation.
