CASE STUDY - DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES
A UK based not-for-profit organisation wanted to provide its managers with some basic tools in order to help them develop their effectiveness. There was a population of 40 people who had never had any formal management training before, although some of them had many years of experience. We worked with the Board to define the requirements, and subsequently designed and implemented a 3 phase modular programme, and this covered Managing with Insight, Performance Conversations and Coaching Conversations. All of the courses were run with follow up sessions, so that participants had time after the formal input to put some of the learning into practice.
They were then given the opportunity to share their experiences and be given practical, customised coaching during the follow up sessions, enabling them to check that they were on the right track.
