CASE STUDY – ASSESSMENT SKILLS TRAINING
We had already designed a graduate recruitment assessment centre for a communications company, to be implemented in the UK and across Europe. Line managers were nominated as assessors. Many were experienced, but none of them were familiar with the content of the exercises.
We therefore gave briefings and practice exercises to all of the line managers so that they understood the nature of the Centres and were comfortable with the content as well as ensuring that they were all using the same objective techniques. To follow this up, we paired line manager assessors with our consultants for the first Centre in which they were involved for on-going coaching and support. 60 managers were trained as part of this process.
